At Brushwood Mini Highlands, we proudly raise Highland miniature cattle that combine heritage, health, and temperament. Among them, Edgar is a stocky dun bull calf with excellent conformation, a thick body, and a friendly personality. Dam‑raised out of our beautiful silver cow Emma, Edgar carries the strength and resilience that make Highland mini cattle so desirable for families and breeders alike.
Edgar is horned, intact, and registered with IMCBR (#22346). He is BD1 Chondro gene negative and carries the A1/A2 beta casein milk protein variant. His coat color reflects one copy of the PMEL17‑delTTC dilution variant, producing a pale‑red or gray tone, with MC1R genetics showing dominant black and wild type carrier status. Compact at birth (20″ tall, 35 lbs), Edgar has grown into a hardy calf with many redeeming qualities. He does carry the crop ear genetic, which is purely cosmetic, though buyers should avoid pairing two carriers together in breeding programs.
Whether you’re seeking a future herd sire or a lovable pasture companion, Edgar offers flexibility: buyers may choose to keep him intact for breeding or request castration for a pet. His approachable nature and strong build make him a standout among Highland miniature cattle, appealing to both breeders and families.
At Brushwood Mini Highlands, our mission is to connect people with exceptional Highland mini cattle that bring joy, heritage, and heart to every home. Edgar embodies this promise — raised with care, socialized from a young age, and ready to thrive in his new environment.
